Jessica Wright

Owner - Columbia Gorge Confections
Jessica Wright - Columbia Gorge Confections

Originally from Coos Bay, Oregon, Jessica started working in restaurants at fifteen. Her love of cooking and baking only grew as she gained experience through school and jobs.

While Jessica admits that restaurants are her passion and that she is really a "savory" cook, her story about how she launched a confections business in Hood River Oregon because chocolate goes well with wine is entertaining and enlightening.

We love how Jessica has given back to her community and causes and think you will as well.

The owner of "My Petite Sweet" in Lincoln City and now Newport, Michelle operates a bakery with limited cafe seating, selling pastries and coffees at the counter along with a thriving wedding and birthday cake business. First, COVID closed the seating. Then, large birthday parties and weddings were impossible. You would think her business would be among those most at risk. Since COVID hit, she's been buffeted, but instead of throwing in the towel, Michelle  bounced back, growing her staff and even expanding to a new location in Newport.
